People often ask, what’s the difference between getting braces or Invisalign from an orthodontist vs. a dentist?
This photo was inspired by this poem, and it eloquently summarizes the orthodontists passion in making beautiful smiles.
What is an Orthodontist?
As orthodontists we are lucky people in case you weren’t aware, the things we are and comprehend make us very rare.
First we are photographers, we must study that puzzling face,
and then become radiologists, and an X-ray we trace.
By now we are in sculptures, as we mold the teeth in plaster, as engineers we get the boly-gauge, to measure that much faster.
By now we all are architects, and the blueprint has been done, and so we are physicists, and work is finally begun.
We then become metallurgists, as many wires are send a drift,
and then we become the movers: have a teeth begin to shift.
So now we are the artists, putting refinement in its place,
and finally we become idols, to that precious loving face.
Orthodontists oh we lucky humans, God has showered us with grace, through our hands he has empowered us to give beauty to a face.
